About Us

Since our establishment in 2005, as Pizarro, Botto & Escobar Abogados, we have had an uninterrupted growth, which has placed us among the most solid firms in the Peruvian legal market.

In March 2017 we announced our integration with DLA Piper, one of the three most important global firms.  Due to this, we now call ourselves DLA Piper Peru and have begun an intense process of modernization and immersion in global practices not only in legal and commercial matters, but in transcendental topics such as diversity, inclusion, innovation and technology.

We are a young spirit firm with an in-depth knowledge of the industries we provide services for. Each member of DLA Piper Peru defines a solid culture of business ethics and a permanent commitment to our clients.

Recognitions

We have been recognized by Chambers and Partners, International Financial Law Review, Latin Lawyer, Leaders League, The Legal 500, Who's Who Legal, and other prestigious publications that classify the most prominent firms based on relevant experience and transactions.

“Renowned international firm with great track record in the development of sophisticated projects in Peru. Multidisciplinary practice well positioned to advise leading international lenders on project financing and to assist sponsors, contractors and operators with the negotiation of EPC and O&M agreements, as well as with unsolicited proposals. Expertise encompasses the transportation, healthcare and energy sectors.”

CHAMBERS AND PARTNERS

“The firm handles complex acquisition structures involving local and cross-border, private and listed companies. It has extensive experience in advising companies in corporate matters including incorporation of Peruvian subsidiaries, franchise agreements and joint ventures.”

THE LEGAL 500

“DLA Piper Peru has crafted a name for itself that belies its modest size. The firm is best known for its corporate and banking teams and can provide good project finance and infrastructure counsel. The firm’s non-transactional offering has a growing recognition. Established practices like arbitration and tax are popular among clients, while a white-collar crime and compliance group is under development and is already doling out plenty of advice.”

LATIN LAWYER 250

“DLA Piper Peru is strong in banking and capital markets. In banking, the firm advised Inter-American Investment Corporation on a secured loan. In capital markets, the firm advised Peru LNG on the international issuance of bonds. Significant clients include Interbank, DEG, Itaú Corpbanca New York Branch and Santander Consumer Peru.”
