Peru LNG receives loan from the Banco de Credito del Peru
On March 22, Peru LNG S.R.L. received a loan for working capital for an amount of USD 75 million from Banco de Credito del Peru.
In the operation, the borrower received support from DLA Piper Pizarro Botto Escobar. The lender and Credicorp Capital Servicios Financieros S.A., which acted as structuring the financing, appealed to Miranda & Amado Abogados.
DLA Piper Pizarro Botto Escobar said that the resources will be used to finance the capital needs of Peru LNG, which will be used for general corporate purposes and for the granting of loans and the issuance of bank guarantees (letters of credit, letters of guarantee or stand- by letters).
Founded in 2003, Peru LNG operates a liquefied natural gas processing plant in Peru, a maritime terminal and a 408-kilometer gas pipeline.
Last March, the company issued bonds for USD 940 million in international markets, at an interest rate of 5.375% and maturity in 2030, according to a LexLatin report.
