Litigation and Arbitration
Our team actively participates in arbitration proceedings, representing national and international parties, particularly in disputes arising from construction contracts and infrastructure projects. We advise clients throughout the process from negotiating the contract to addressing any dispute that may arise, including with respect to procedural issues, settlement negotiations, and proceedings, and as arbitrators appointed in processes administered by different arbitration institutions or in ad-hoc processes.
Having sponsored more than 100 arbitration cases, our partners have more than 15 years of experience in the field, assisting in matters of high technical complexity, not only of a commercial nature but linked to the conception and development of large infrastructure projects, related to construction and government contracting, of both public and private origin.
Cases that are regularly handled by our practice area include complex construction claims, cost overruns, price adjustments, force majeure, contract interpretation and indemnification claims. Mention also needs to be made of our experience in arbitration related to PPP projects for developing public infrastructure, as well as in government contracts for the execution of public works.
