Vidriería 28 de Julio receives long-term loan
Vidriería 28 de Julio S.A.C. (Corporación Furukawa) received long-term financing for an amount of USD 21 million from Banco de Credito del Peru and Banco Santander Perú S.A.
The operation closed on March 1 with the participation of DLA Piper Pizarro Botto Escobar, on behalf of the borrower. The firm was responsible for the negotiation of financing and guarantee agreements, including an escrow agreement for collateral and a trust fund agreement.
The lenders were advised by their internal legal teams.
The financing will be destined to cancel financial liabilities and working capital to cover investments, after a greater demand of the buildings sector.
Furukawa Corporation operates since 1950 supplying glass to the construction industry. The name of the beneficiary of the loan is due to the location of the group’s first store, on Av. 28 de Julio, in the district of La Victoria, in Lima.
The company has four business lines: distribution, buildings, aluminum and decoration. Its offer includes glass, glass, cathedrals, mirrors and aluminum profiles, among others.
